Flower Arrangement Explainer Video

In this video I focused on a playful, and lighthearted design. I wanted to make the audience know that creating floral arrangements is not a daunting task and can be fun to achieve. My 11 step video highlights the simple steps in creating the arrangement utilizing bright colors, with easy to understand instructions and helpful “Petal Pointer” tips. The intention behind this project was to be simplistic while informative. Through my color palette I was able to show the bright colors of a floral arrangement throughout the process rather than just in the end product. This helps the user become confident in their abilities throughout the steps, knowing that they are working towards an end goal

For this project, research was heavily user-based. Through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and testing the project has solidified evidence to support the end product. Though my surveys I was able to find standardized results from a large demographic about instructional design as well as my topic. Through my interview with our target audience I was able to narrow down my ideas to fit the audience’s needs. And through my focus group, I found out how users actually interact with my project, such as the way they interpret color, design, timing, language, etc. And finally, through exploring existing instructions on floral arrangements, I was able to see what I thought was beneficial and harmful to the final end product.
